UP SEEMS SO DOWN ARTWORK 500.jpg

sleep sleep sleeping

you in the hallway never in your bed

creep creep creeping

up the stairs by the light of your silhouette

you shine shine shine

as moonlight finds its way across your skin

you pull pull pull me close close close

hold my head up in [both] your hands

and so you say...

i been in love a dozen times

but love ain’t never felt this way

sure i realize, i realize that i must be blind.

blinded by the light, corner of my eye, coming from the

smile that’s on your face

and up up up and up you go

like a ghost ascends the stairs

and down down down and down real slow

into my easy chair

and when when when the morning comes

and daylight sprinkles the seeds of fun

it’s push push push and nudge nudge nudge

best i can but you still won’t budge

oh stop stop stop she smiles

she says and pushes me off the bed

well you steal all the covers and i never have any left

isaid, “and don’t forget you toss and kick

and usually it’s on my head.”

well it’s too too late to go back to sleep

but it’s too early for all this,

and so i say....

i been in love a dozen times

but love ain’t never been so grand

it isn’t what gets thrown into the mix

it’s how it all, big and small,

works out so well in the end

chorus end

i’ve been in love a thousand times

but love ain’t never felt this way

and sure i realize, i realize that i must be blind

blinded by the light, corner of my eyes, coming from the smile that’s on your face.
