everybody blames you

Recorded in 2002/03 at GlassPlanet Studio w/ Ben Smith, Jason Jones, and producer Krys Keylor

everybody's blaming, i'm sick of complaining.

is it hard?  yeah it's hard when you've been restraining

to say what you feel man. cause feeling's the deal.

first you move with the groove then you spin that wheel.

yeah, i'm a poet not a prophet

quite frankly i get lost on a daily basis in my local supermarket.

i'm not a wheeler or a dealer,  or a ex-con, mafia don,

trying to pawn myself off as the local holy healer.

but i've seen dreams, and i've hatched schemes and

known such things i have no need to try and try to repeat.

this playing seems vain, this day after day. (it's all the same).

you don't abuse the muse man, or you find she runs away.

but it don't get me down. (won't you come around)

you could keep me up.   (and i might as well be up)

i spend my nights and days laying in bed trying to stay awake

but it don't bring me down.

everybody's blaming, i'm sick of complaining.

is it hard?  yeah it's hard when you've been restraining

to say what you feel man. cause feelings the deal.

first you move with the groove then you spin that wheel.

revolving in cycles like the archangel michael.

he's pointing out to the other angels that we're all freakin' psycho.

a suicide's a promise a different kind of homage

we can skip the bit with the fit i'm sick of all the ------- carnage

oops. did i offend? must i now ask again?

for you to find it your hearts so we can make amends?

assume nothing wrong i'll continue the song

you make the best of the rest of whatever comes along

yeah i've been dreaming and woke up screaming. i felt alive, trapped inside but i never knew the meaning. i was running in a maze, in an odd colored haze, it takes my feet off the ground and sets me down in a daze. it starts with a phone call or a photograph or a  letter. next thing you know, they see a show and  then they think they know you better.  better than yourself, risking all your health for the idea of something sacred, but it ain't exactly real.

last:

everybody's blaming i'm sick of complaining?

is it hard? yeah it's hard but if it's worth the go then it's worth the waiting.

but say what you feel baby, cause feelings the deal.

first you move with the groove then you spend that wheel.
