FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Music is my full-time job that provides for my family and I price accordingly. I'm a quality professional with over two decades of experience and consistently receive excellent reviews from my clientele across the country. I set my rates fairly to ensure my pricing is consistent for all customers. I'm transparent about my quoting process, I'm happy to discuss in detail if you like, and I'm open to negotiation if you'd like to make a reasonable counteroffer. My base rate for performance is $500/hr with a 2-hour minimum. Please message me with any questions.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My typical process for working with a new customer looks like this:

First, we'll discuss your needs and see if my services are a good fit. If yes, we'll confirm the price and fine tune the details of your event such as set list, dress code, etc. Once we have everything in place, I'll send over my performance agreement. To lock in our agreement, you'll provide me with your signature and a 50% deposit to reserve the date. Two weeks prior to your event the remaining balance is due, and I will reach out regarding any last-minute notes or changes that need to be made. On the day of, I'll arrive two hours prior to showtime to set up, and I'll give your guests an amazing performance at the appointed time. Once my performance is over, I will throw on a suitable Spotify playlist for a few minutes while I take a short break, and at a reasonable time I will quietly pack up and be on my way after thanking you once more for a lovely event.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Since 1998 I’ve played over 7000 shows all across the US and the UK. Corporate events, clubs, festivals, fairs, weddings, wineries, and more - you name it, I've played it. Over the years I’ve refined my craft by honing every aspect of my business from stage performance, to sound engineering, setlist curation, and most importantly: client satisfaction. I’m a seasoned entertainment professional and your event is in good hands!

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

For as long as I can remember I've always loved music— I started performing in my teens at coffeeshops and school get togethers, and my career just unfolded from there. In high school and college I performed solo and with a band. Once I'd honed my show to a truly professional level, I went full time into music performance. I now specialize in providing premium entertainment for corporate and individual clients around the country.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

There's a ton of musicians out there but very few entertainers. Anyone can strum a guitar and sing a few tunes, but most musicians aren't making a living and they lack the experience with sound engineering, setlist curation, and stagecraft to give you a premium experience. If you have the budget, I recommend you hire a professional musician.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The number one thing you should think through before hiring live music for your event is whether you actually have the budget to afford the quality entertainment your event deserves. If you're not prepared to drop a few bucks on a professional, your event may be better off with a boom box and a Spotify playlist.
